A Cash-Based Practice, By Design

Radiant Chiropractic is a cash-based chiropractic practice and does not bill insurance directly.

We've chosen this model because it allows us to keep the focus on the individual patient when evaluating your needs and making recommendations for care.

Insurance coverage can vary significantly between plans, including differences in deductibles, visit limits, covered services, and requirements for reimbursement. By operating outside of those restrictions, Dr. Williams can make recommendations based on your health history, examination findings, progress, lifestyle, and goals rather than designing your care around what a particular insurance plan may or may not cover.

Why Some Patients Prefer a Cash-Based Practice

Insurance can be useful, but it isn't the right fit for every healthcare decision. For our office, staying cash-based allows us to keep the relationship simpler and more transparent.

Instead of beginning with the question, "What will insurance cover?" we can begin with: "What's bringing you in, what did we find, and what makes sense for you?"

That allows us to focus on:

  • Your individual health history and concerns

  • Your examination and assessment findings

  • Your goals for care

  • How you're responding and progressing

  • Your lifestyle and physical demands

  • Clear costs before beginning care

It also means that choosing to use chiropractic care doesn't automatically mean committing to indefinite treatment. Our job is to give you our recommendation, explain why we're making it, and give you the information you need to decide what makes sense for you.

How Pricing & Care Are Structured

Your first visits at Radiant Chiropractic are designed to give us time to understand what's bringing you in, complete the appropriate examination and assessments, and explain what we find.

Your initial evaluation may include:

If Dr. Williams recommends ongoing chiropractic care, we'll explain what that care could look like based on your individual findings and goals. Depending on your needs and stage of care, payment options may include individual visits, structured care plans, or wellness options.

HSA, FSA & Out-of-Network Benefits

Being a cash-based practice doesn't necessarily mean your health benefits can't be used toward your care.

HSA & FSA

Radiant Chiropractic accepts HSA and FSA funds for eligible chiropractic services. Eligibility can depend on your specific account and circumstances, so patients with questions about what their HSA or FSA covers should check with their plan administrator.

Out-of-Network Insurance Reimbursement

Although Radiant Chiropractic does not bill insurance directly, we can provide a superbill for patients who would like to submit eligible services to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. A superbill is an itemized document containing information your insurance company may use when processing an out-of-network claim.

Reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends entirely on your individual insurance plan, deductible, benefits, and coverage requirements. If you plan to seek reimbursement, we recommend contacting your insurance company directly and asking about your out-of-network chiropractic benefits before beginning care.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Pricing & Payment

Does Radiant Chiropractic accept insurance?

Radiant Chiropractic is a cash-based practice and does not bill insurance directly. HSA and FSA funds can be used for eligible services, and we can provide a superbill if you'd like to submit eligible visits to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Your insurance company ultimately determines whether any portion of your care qualifies for reimbursement.

Why does Radiant Chiropractic use a cash-based model?

Operating as a cash-based practice allows us to make recommendations based on the individual patient rather than structuring care around the coverage requirements of a particular insurance plan. Dr. Williams considers your health history, examination and assessment findings, progress, lifestyle, and goals when making recommendations. It also allows us to be transparent about the cost of care before you decide how you'd like to proceed.

How is pricing structured for a new patient?

Your initial visits are focused on understanding what's bringing you in, completing the appropriate examination and assessments, and determining whether chiropractic care is appropriate. Depending on your situation, this may include a consultation, chiropractic examination, posture and movement assessment, CLA INSiGHT scans, and a first adjustment if appropriate. If ongoing care is recommended, we'll explain your findings, recommendations, and financial options before you commit to a care plan.

Do I have to sign up for a care plan?

No. If Dr. Williams recommends a structured care plan, we'll explain what we're recommending, why we're recommending it, and what we're working toward. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions and review your financial options before deciding how you'd like to move forward.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

HSA and FSA funds can generally be used for eligible chiropractic services. Because eligibility rules can vary, contact your HSA or FSA administrator if you're unsure whether a particular service or expense qualifies under your plan.

Can I submit my visits to insurance myself?

Yes. Upon request, we can provide a superbill containing information you may need to submit eligible services to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Whether your insurance company reimburses you, and how much, depends on your individual plan and benefits.

Will you tell me what care costs before I start?

Yes. If ongoing care is recommended, we'll explain your recommendations and available payment options so you understand the financial commitment before beginning a care plan.

Questions About Pricing or Payment?

We want the financial side of care to be just as straightforward as the clinical side. If you're considering chiropractic care at Radiant Chiropractic and have questions about pricing, HSA/FSA payments, superbills, or your options for ongoing care, our team is happy to help.
